Arts and Crafts in a Picturesque Setting

Nestled in the mountainous landscape of the Eastfjords, Seyðisfjörður is a true gem of a town with colourful little houses and a vibrant arts community. It was the site of the internationally acclaimed television series Trapped, showing its ominous side in the middle of winter. In the summer the town is alive with culture events, and when the Norröna ferry docks every week it is transformed into the smallest metropolis in the world.
Seyðisfjörður HI Hostel offers accommodation in two different but equally charming historic houses; Hafaldan Harbour & Hafaldan Old Hospital
Hafaldan Harbour Hostel was established in 1975 and is nestled on the north side of the Seyðisfjörður fjord with an amazing view from the dining area. Rooms are small & cozy with washbasin in every room. This is a very authentic hostel with a lot of charm. Ideal for those who seek basic & budget accommodation in Seydisfjordur.
