Höfn HI Hostel

With the North Atlantic on one side and Europe‘s largest glacier on the other, Höfn is a paradise for photographers and those simply wanting to explore. The laid-back fishing town may be small but has plenty of cultures, with a selection of museums and amazing cuisine- you’ll probably notice the lobster symbols everywhere, there is a festival every summer celebrating them.

With its simple interior design and spacious common facilities, Höfn HI Hostel is a perfect place to cook a good meal, play some board games and get good sleep for the next day's travel.

In the area:

• Vatnajökull National Park offers plenty of opportunities for adventure, including various glacier exploration tours, horse riding tours, and spectacular hiking trails.
• Höfn is a good starting point for a hike in Lónsöræfi, one of Iceland's best-kept secrets.
• Lounge in the Hoffell hot tubs carved in stone, and look out on the view of the glacier.
