Riding tours

The Icelandic horse is a small, strong, friendly, willing, docile animal which rarely gives riders any kind of trouble. It has two special gaits, the tölt (running walk) and the flying pace. Riding is a unique opportunity to experience the Icelandic landscape, culture and history and to discover Icelandic mentality.
We offer a number of tours for beginners and experienced riders.

Viking Tour

6-7 hours riding tour in Heiðmörk nature park. Picnic lunch is served during the tour.

Laxnes Special

This tour is run from Laxnes Farm, a twenty minute drive from Reykjavík.

Four Day Tour - Around the Volcano

A riding tour where we ride for three days in a variety of landscapes.

Lava Tour

2-3 hours riding tour into the lava fields of the nature park Heiðmörk.

Golden Circle

Get acquainted with the sure-footed, docile, enduring and good-natured Icelandic horse.

Horses and Blue Lagoon

After an hour and a half on horseback and a light lunch we drive to the Blue Lagoon and spend at least an hour there.

The Elfins Tour

On this tour we see places populated by Elfins and if we are lucky we can hear the elfins sing in their church at Skjólklettur
