The Wonders of Snæfellsnes
For nature lovers this is an "absolute must" tour.
The Snæfellsnes peninsula in Iceland´s West is almost like a miniature of the whole country. There are white and black beaches, bird cliffs, spectacular mountains and volcanic craters, incredibly rich trout lakes and salmon rivers lush valleys, unique harbours in charming fishing villages, and a world renowned glacier.
This tour lasts a full day and takes you to many of the amazing places found in this region. We check out some seals, visit the stunning rock formations and teeming bird life at the lovely communities of Arnarstapi and Hellnar, and stop at the gorgeous beach Djúpalónssandur, with its otherwordly views and rich history, all the while enjoying the close proximity of the serene and majestic Snæfellsjökull glacier.
Some walking is required on this excursion.
