The Blue Lagoon

The lagoon is a unique geothermal spa situated in the youngest lava field in west Iceland. Once there you have many recreational options such as walking in the Blue Lagoon's spectacular surroundings, bathing in the milky blue-green water, relax in a geothermal steam bath or release the stress from your shoulders under a Blue Lagoon waterfall. A visit to the Blue Lagoon is not to be missed, and if you are on a tight schedule, you could even stop by on your way back to the Keflavík International airport.

Be sure to remember to bring your bathing suit and towel, or you can rent it for a small price at the Blue Lagoon.

Departure: There are daily departures from Reykjavík City Hostel and the Reykjavík Downtown Hostel to the Blue Lagoon, at different times. Please contact reception for further information on departure times.

Included in prices is transport from Reykjavík to the Blue Lagoon and back to the city or, upon request, to Keflavík International Airport, and entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon.

Duration: The pick-up and transport to the Blue Lagoon takes 60-75 minutes, it is then up to you how long you spend at the Lagoon as you can choose between different transfers back to the city and 3 to the airport.
